Aberystwyth Pier with the sunset.

I haven’t been painting much over the last year. I had no concentration to sit, start or finish.

I joined an online Sunday afternoon group. Watching and listening for just 2 hours after dinner. I enjoyed following a few small paintings.

Sat down yesterday morning and started this, working wet on wet. About 5 hours start to finish. It’s only a small painting but I’m happy with it

It will stay wet enough to work on for a few days.

I used Artisan water soluble oil paints.

St David’s day Daffodil.

Using scraps of felt and a pattern from While she naps.

Hand sewn.

Joined the pieces.
Used copper wire and crimped beads in place.

Took about an hour after I found all the bits. Fabulous pattern lovely make.

Snowy Mountains

Started with a palette knife or two, finished with a fine brush.

Three cards blinged up a bit.

Pop up Christmas Tree

Fold green card in half. Make a cut parallel to the bottom edge.
Fold a triangle inward, reverse fold inside the card.
Inside the card.
Fold the card out again to cut in strips decreasing in length. Then alternately fold in and out.
Pop inside another folded card and you have a pop up Christmas tree, which you can decorate.

Simple Pop up card.

You need stiff card, you can use scissors but I prefer craft knife and cutting board.
Fold card in half.
Make equal parallel cuts across the fold.
Push the cut piece inward to make a reverse fold. You could leave it like that or make further steps to pop up.
Here there is a smaller upper pop out.
Here a Christmas tree has been attached to the pop up.
The card on its side, showing the pop up tree. You can add lots of bits to this to finish your card.
