When lockdown started I found it difficult to concentrate, I simply couldn’t settle.
A friend was short of wool for her project, I decided to open my wool stash. The nearest bag yielded some of what she was after and lots of crochet cotton from when I made flowers.
I looked for patterns, couldn’t find anything so decided to look on you tube. I typed in shell stitch as it was a favourite for making baby blankets, my mother used to do them. Found a pattern with an American accent, struggled at first to follow her instructions but this is what followed

I still have more crochet cotton in the stash, proving stashing is good practice and should be maintained. Lots of mine was bought as odd balls on offer and some from charity/goodwill shops
